Skirrid Fell Race
Another short, sharp race that is part of the South Wales winter hill series. The race is just over 5km, straight up and down the steep northern edge of Ysgyryd Fawr.
This was my first time having a crack at this race and I'm pretty happy with my run all things considered.
50mph winds, fields so boggy it was like running through treacle meant there were no course records taken.
I had a really strong climb and picked a good line on the descent finishing 9th overall.
As always, a massive thank you to the race organisers and volunteers for keeping these traditional fell races alive. It was awesome to see another well attended race with a huge turn out from the mighty Mynydd Du
